Finely crafted German uprights and grands. Sauter are now the oldest existing European manufacturing company and reputedly one of only four companies using 100% German parts. Of these companies the largest is Steinway making about 1500 pianos in Hamburg. Sauter make approximately 800 pianos, Grotrian Steinweg 600 and Steingraeber 100.
