LESSONS TAYLORED TO STUDENT’S NEEDS (ALL AGES WELCOME).
My students typically range from pro. musicians to beginners, from 6 to 60 years of age. Grade 8 to grade 1 students. Also, students who don’t want to do any grades but prefer to learn with other goals in mind.
David is an experienced performer, musician and teacher with 12 years of teaching experience including Bretton Hall & University of Leeds. His approach is friendly, relaxed, thorough and is tailored to each student’s needs.
‘My approach is to guide & encourage students in WHAT THEY WANT TO ACHIEVE regardless of style. It's about the quality of music, fun & self-expression.’
His teaching style comes from a 19 year formation with a long line of high-calibre performer/tutors –including specialist music schooling (CYM, London), a degree in Jazz (LCM), PGCE experience (Univ. of Leeds)- all of which have greatly informed his teaching practice.

He teaches; All forms of arrangement & composition. Piano (classical & jazz) - including grades if required, keyboards & kybd programming, performance & musicianship. Sight-reading, harmony, improvisation, Blues, Latin music (incl. Salsa & Bossa Nova, Samba etc.), Gospel.
