What we think:
Yamaha are right in saying that this is an improvement on the B1 and B2, but we're still unconvinced. Also made in Indonesia, the tone is not that good. For the price of a B3 you can get a far superior used Yamaha U1 or U3 or a new Wendl and Lung upright 122.
If you're buying a small piano then a used Knight K10 or K20, Fazer or a Yamaha made from 1965 to 1980 has a far richer tone than a new Yamaha of this height, is more stable and will cost considerably less. Please see our stocklist for examples

With a Silent PianoT you can play while others read, converse, listen to recorded music or watch TV, right in the same room. A second headphone socket is provided to assist teachers.
In quiet mode, contact-free optical sensors translate every nuance of your playing style, including pedal movements, and re-create the sound of a perfectly recorded Yamaha grand piano under your total control. Natural touch is preserved completely.
