There are some grands; we recently restored a 5ft one, c1920, which was the practice piano for St Martin-in-the fields in Trafalgar Square. It had a good quality action and tone, though a strange idiosyncrasy was that it went up to Bb (86) on the trebble section strings and only A (85) on the action, meaning that the extra note at the top was redundant! |
